N. Chandrababu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) criticised each other during the 1st Assembly session, on the 13th of June.

Mr. Naidu, who did not attend the election ceremony of the AP Assembly Speaker, said, the State Government, ruled by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) did not invite Mr. Naidu and the TDP MLAs.

On the other hand, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy slammed Naidu for not attending the election process of Tammineni Sitaram as the Speaker.

Mr. Jagan also responded to the allegations of Naidu about not being invited. Jagan said, S. Appala Naidu, the Protem Speaker, invited all the TDP leaders, including Chandrababu Naidu, for the ceremony.

Jagan also said, “Naidu is trying to cover up his mistakes by making his leaders speak against the ruling party.”

Upset with the YSRCP Government, Chandrababu Naidu sent Achem Naidu, a member of the TDP, to the election.

Tammineni Sitaram was elected as the new Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly.

Sitaram will take over as the Speaker from the 14th of June.
