The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders conducted a meeting regarding the demolition orders given by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) regarding Praja Vedika.

On the evening of the 24th of June, all the leaders and members of the TDP gathered at the residence of Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the TDP and discussed the matter.

The meeting was called after Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy ordered for the demolition of the Praja Vedika building, constructed by the TDP Government in 2015.

The AP Government took the decision, claiming the building was constructed illegally.

On the 24th of June, during the Collectors’ Conference, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, in order to build a transparent and corruption free State, took the decision regarding the demolition.

The TDP leaders deemed the decision as an act of political revenge and misuse of power, as the YSRCP Government is in power.

TDP members Atchannaidu, Kollu Ravindra, Buddha Venkanna and Shravan Kumar attended the meeting. They even contacted Chandrababu Naidu, who is on a family trip to Europe and informed him about the orders.

Buddha Venkanna, the Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) of the TDP, questioned how the Praja Vedika, built using public funds, can be demolished.

The TDP members also alleged, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy took the decision to target the residence of Naidu, which is connected with the Praja Vedika.

The TDP constructed the Praja Vedika building for review meetings and other official conferences of the then Government of the State, the TDP.

The Praja Vedika building is worth Rs. 8 crores. If the YSRCP demolishes the building, the public funds which were used to build the building will go to waste.

The demolition of the Praja Vedika will begin on the 26th of June.

Stay tuned for further updates.
