The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC,) on the 7th of November, postponed the Group1 mains exam.
The announcement was made after the prelims results were released and the majority of students did not clear the exam. According to the APPSC, a delay in conducting the mains exam could be beneficial for the students and would provide them more time to prepare.
The APPSC Group 1 mains exam was scheduled to be held in December, from the 12th of December to the 23rd of December.
However, now, the exam would be conducted in the first week of January.
The APPSC, on the 6th of November, released a statement regarding the same. Sitaraman Janeyu, the Secretary of the APPSC, said the APPSC department, after scrutinising all the aspects, postponed the exam.
The official announcement regarding the new dates of the Group 1 mains exam would be announced on the 13th of November.
