The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) decided to run full fledged RTC buses from the 1st of October.

Though the RTC buses resumed from the 21st of May, 2020, only 30 % buses were operational.

The APSRTC buses were suspended from the 21st of March, a day ahead of the Janata curfew.

The decision was taken to control the spread of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

However, months after the nationwide lockdown, this is the first time, the AP buses are likely to be 100 % seating capacity.

The APSRTC authorities would make all the buses available from October 2020.

In regard to this, the APSRTC are working to make all the arrangements.

In the past seats were already removed in RTC buses in the wake of social distancing arrangements.  Seats were removed only at ultra deluxe and super‌ luxury bus services.

However, an official announcement with the details of bus services with 100 % seat capacity is yet to be announced.

Stay tuned for further updates.
