Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) urged the public to maintain peace and harmony in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s announcement came after the Supreme Court (SC,) on the 9th of November, announced the verdict on the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi land dispute case.
Jagan Mohan Reddy appealed to social media users not to share anything which could incite communal hatred on social media platforms.
Explaining the decision, Jagan said the SC pronounced the verdict after both the parties, the Muslims and the Hindus, accepted it.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said the petitioners agreed to the arrangements, thereby resolving the matter.
Jagan Mohan Reddy concluded by requesting the citizens of Andhra Pradesh to maintain peace and harmony in the State.
The SC announced the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi verdict in favour of the Hindus and allocated 5 acres of alternate land in Ayodhya to the Muslims.
The Central Government issued prohibitory orders across Delhi to maintain peace and harmony.
In Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, police personnel were deployed to avoid any kind of violence.
