The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL,) on the 30th of July, launched its 4G services for the people of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh (AP.)
A.P. Rao, the Chief General Manager of Andhra Pradesh Circle, addressed the media and said the BSNL launched 4G services in the City, which will expand the customer base.
Mr. Rao also expressed his happiness about the launch and said the BSNL has approximately 3.33 lakh new mobile customers, as of July 2019. Approximately 17,171 new broadband connections were added till July 2019.
Rao shared the statistics and said the data traffic per day in the network is 122.6 TB.
According to sources, the AP Circle of the BSNL spent an amount of Rs. 200 crores for the upgradation and expansion of mobile services in 2019.
Rao said the BSNL will also establish 150 4G towers in Vijayawada, AP. He also announced BSNL’s new partnership with Amazon Prime, thanks to which, a membership of Rs. 999 for 1 year will be offered on select BSNL postpaid mobiles.
