Central Government Withdraws NSG Security For Chandrababu Naidu

On the 13th of January, the Central Government, cancelled the National Security Guard (NSG) also known as Black Cat commando to Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.) 

The NSG security is an elite security protecting VIPs since two decades and are applicable only to the high profile figures in India. 

Besides Chandrababu Naidu, the Government of India (GoI) withdrew security from other 13 VIPs such as Sonia Gandhi and her family members, Manmohan Singh, Mayawait, Mileham Singh Yadav, Yogi Adityanath, Farooq Abdullah, Rajnath Singh, Sharwananda Sonowal, L.K. Advani, Prakash Singh Badal and others.  

The NSG security was set up in 1984 for hijack operations. The security of celebrities and other important figure was into the preview. 

Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, said the decision would reduce the burden of the NSG Black Cat commando. 

 With the latest decision, nearly 450 NSG commandos would be available any time.
