Chandrababu Naidu Conducts Video Conferencing With Leaders, Decides To Burn Anti Farmer Policies In Bhogi Fire

Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) decided to burn Government Orders (GOs) issued against farmers interests.

Showing opposition against the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRC,) Mr. Naidu asked the TDP cadres to burn 5 GOs related to anti farmer laws.

The Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP Government issued a few laws for farmers of the State. However, the opposition is against the issued laws claiming it to be anti farmers.

On the 12th of January, Mr. Naidu conducted a video conference addressing presidents and coordinators of the TDP parliamentary units, zonal coordinators and assembly in charge.

During the meeting, Nara Chandrababu alleged YSRCP’s laws to be major reason behind 1,779 suicides committed by farmers in the past one year.

As a symbol of protest against this, the TDP President decided to participate in burning of the GOs in the Krishna district.

Mr. Naidu expressed his concern over the ongoing situation of farmers in the State. He said the farmers were completely devastated by the disastrous policies of the YSRCP. He was outraged that there were no buyers of grains. Due to heavy rains, the produced crops were damaged, making it difficult for farmers to sell.

Mr. Chandrababu said despite the low price of tomatoes in Kurnool there are no buyers even for 30 paise per kilo of tomato.

Nara Chandrababu was angry that there was no compensation for the farmers who lost their crops in the natural disaster.

In regard to this, he decided to burn the papers of all anti farmer policies and GOs for the same in the Bhogi fire on the 14th of January.
