Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) on the 7th of August, conducted a meeting with TDP activists in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh (AP.)

The meeting was organised after several activists staged a protest outside the TDP office in Guntur and demanded Naidu remove Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, the former Assembly Speaker of AP.

Kodela Siva Prasada Rao is in charge of the Sattenapalli constituency.

During the protest, Rao was conducting a meeting with Chandrababu Naidu and discussing the issues with the activists and other leaders in Guntur.

According to sources, Kodela reached the Party office after he got information the activists and leaders in Sattenapalli were planning to meet Naidu and complain against him.  Later, Naidu gave an appointment to the activists and listened to their complaints.

The activists said Kodela is involved in corruption and it would be difficult to work with him during the upcoming Municipal elections.

Chandrababu Naidu met Komatineni Srinivasa Rao, the TDP District Secretary, Gogineni Koteswara Rao, Alla Amareswara Rao, Makkena Mrityunjaya Rao and other leaders and discussed the removal of Kodela.

Chandrababu Naidu said, “We have already prepared a list of leaders who were involved in corrupt practices in the past five years when the TDP was in power.”

Komatineni Srinivasa Rao addressed the media and said Naidu assured the TDP will take action against Kodela.

After meeting the Party activists in Guntur, Chandrababu Naidu also met the workers of Anna canteens and extended his support to them, against the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
