Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) is on a tour to East Godavari. The two day visit started on the 5th of September.
On the 5th of September, Chandrababu Naidu first visited Vemagiri following which he went to Morampudi and Lalachervu.
On the 6th of September, Naidu visited Kakinada in East Godavari and addressed TDP leaders, officials and activists.
After a disastrous defeat in the 2019 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections against the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the two day tour is said to be an effort to strengthen the TDP in AP.
During the tour, TDP President Naidu will review the situation of the Party in every area and will discuss the issues in the area with the concerned leaders of the TDP.
The TDP also conducted a constituency wide review meeting, chaired by Chandrababu Naidu.
Later in the evening, Naidu will meet the leaders of Pithapuram, Kakinada, Mandapeta, Peddapuram, Jaggampeta and Prattipadu constituencies and seek suggestions to strengthen the Party.
TDP activists and MLAs supervised the arrangements for the two day tour.
The Party leaders also welcomed Chandrababu Naidu and raised slogans ‘Jai Chandrababu’ and ‘Jai Telugu Desam,’ expressing their wish for the TDP to come back to power in the next elections.
