Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 29th of July, appointed Telugu film actor and comedian Ali as the Chairman of the AP Film Development Corporation (APFDC.)
Ali is one of the members of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.) He recently joined the Party and actively campaigned for Jagan Mohan Reddy during the AP elections.
Previously, Ambika Krishna, a member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) held the position of the APFDC Chairman, but after the TDP’s defeat, he had to submit his resignation.
Since Ambika Krishna’s resignation, the APFDC post was vacant. The Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP finally announced the new Chairman of the APFDC.
However, an official announcement regarding the same is yet to be made.
