COVID-19 – AP CM Grants Money To Priests Working In Temples

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) on the 8th of April, announced Rs. 5,000 for the priests, working at temples amid lockdown.

While reviewing the current situation of the State during the pandemic situation, the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.  

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) announced the same  for the priests who are performing everyday rituals at temples and has no other source of income.

Vellampalli Srinivas Rao, a Cabinet Minister of A.P., said, “The the govt (Government) offered a cash relief of Rs.5000 for as many as 2800 priests. ” 

The announcement comes hours after the launch of the COVID-19 Rapid Test Kit which would help to conduct 20 samples for COVID-19 tests in a day and results would come in 50 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh Government reported a total of 329 cases with 3 deaths.

The A.P., Government is also monitoring the current situation closely and urges people to follow social distancing strictly.
