With the increasing numbers of the Novel Coronavirus infection cases, the Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government, decided a set of guidelines for supermarkets and grocery shops.

On the 7th of April, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) issued the guidelines, which is mandatory for all the supermarkets to follow.

The guidelines include no congestion and crowd in stores, working management should not have any symptoms of flu or cold, customers should not buy products which could be stored for more than two weeks.  

The other rules are strict social distancing, people standing in queue should have 3 metre radius distance, set up a hand sanitizer in and out of the store, body temperature of every worker should be measured daily and a person near the cash counter should have a pair of gloves and mask.

Most important point of the issued guidelines is the online mode of transaction.  The payment should be through online mode until or unless it is an extreme emergency to take cash.

The guidelines are said to be a step to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh reported a total of 304 COVID-19 positive cases with 3 deaths.
