Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,)  is going to implement the YSR House Site Patta welfare scheme also known as the house distribution scheme, on the 14th of April.

Previously, the event was to distribute houses and lands to the poor and eligible people on the 25th of March, marking the occasion of the Ugadi Festival in the State.  However, due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) decided to postpone the event by two weeks from the 31st of March, to the Fourteenth of April– which is also Ambedkar Jayanthi.

The State Government also imposed a lockdown till the 31st of March, to prevent the spread of the deadly virus which has infected 6 people till date in A.P.

Under the YSR Vasathi Deevana scheme, the State Government is going to distribute houses and lands to the less advantaged people, registered under the scheme.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government would distribute 25 lakh houses and house sites by distributing housing cards to the beneficiaries on the 14th of April.

The houses would be constructed and built by the year 2024.  Approximately 26.6 lakh families would benefit from the welfare scheme and would have houses in the State.
