The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC,) on the 9th of April, halted its online bookings from the 15th of April.

Recently, the APSRTC announced to restart its bus services for the citizens of A.P., but due to the increasing cases of the Novel Coronavirus infection, the authority reconsidered the same.

However, an official announcement regarding this decision would be made on the 14th of April, the last day of the 21 day Nationwide lockdown.

On the 6th of April, the APSRTC announced that the management is likely to restart its services, except for AC buses.

The management of the APSRTC said AC bus services would not be operated to far off areas and only super luxury and ultra deluxe buses would start their online reservations.  Air conditioned buses would spread the virus quickly, hence it would not be available until the impact of the Coronavirus reduces in India.

Considering the situation, the APSRTC decided to stop the bookings of the buses.

According to officials, the APSRTC received 42,377 bookings till date.
