Kia Motors, a South Korean multinational company, which established its plant in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) donated a huge amount to the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) in A.P.
Kookhyun Shim, the Managing Director of Kia Motors in India, on the 2nd of April, met with Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P., at the latter’s camp office in Tadepalli, A.P.
During the meeting, Mr. Shim handed over a cheque of Rs. 2 crores to Mr. Reddy to fight the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the State.
Similar to Kia Motors, Sri City or Satyavedu Reserve Infracity Private Limited, an integrated business city in Chittoor district of A.P., also announced a donation of Rs. 2 crores.
Sannara Reddy Ravindra, the MD of Sri City also met with CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and gave him the cheque.
Many officials, Indian Public Service (IPS) officers, ministers, businessmen, actors and celebrities donated funds and helped the State Government to fight COVID-19.
Meanwhile Andhra Pradesh reported 149 COVID-19 cases, 147 of them are active cases and 2 recoveries, till date.
