While the cases of the Novel Coronavirus are growing regularly, the Health Ministry of India assured the first COVID-19 vaccine to be available by 2021.

The deadly infection which broke out from China in December 2019 and hit India in early 2020, is likely to get its first antidote in 2021.

According to sources, the United States of America (U.S.A.,) China, Russia, India and many other countries are racing to make a vaccine for the Novel Coronavirus.

While Russia claimed to have a proven vaccine for the Coronavirus, India’s COVAXIN in collaboration with the Indian Council Medical Research is under trials.

During a media briefing, Harsh Vardhan, the Union Health Minister of India, said, “Research to develop a vaccine is being done expeditiously. There are at least 3 viable such vaccine candidates that are in the phase of clinical trials right now in the country. We’re hopeful that within 1st quarter of 2021 it will be available.”

As many as 12 medical institutes of India are conducting trials for COVAXIN.
