The Day-Night Pink Ball Test match between India and Bangladesh started on the 22nd of November.
The four day Test match would continue till the 25th of November at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. This is the 1st ever Day-Night Test played by India, launched by Sourav Ganguly, the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI.)
So far, 8 countries played Pink Ball cricket matches, out of which Australia is the leading country as it played 5 matches out of the 11 held so far.
Sourav Ganguly, who believes Pink Ball cricket has a bright future, emphasised on using pink balls.
Bangladesh won the toss and played its 1st innings. Team Bangladesh scored 106 runs and had a loss of 10 wickets after 30.3 overs.
Tickets for all the four days of the match are sold out as people are enthusiastic to witness the historic Day-Night Pink Ball Test match.
Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, on the 22nd of November, inaugurated the Test match at the Eden Gardens.
