Delhi Police Investigates JNU Incident

On the 8th of January, the Delhi Police identified some of the masked men who were behind the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) violence which took place on the 5th of January.

According to sources, days after the JNU incident, students are still protesting on the JNU campus, demanding action against the masked goons who not only thrashed the students but damaged the University’s property as well.

Celebrities and citizens of Delhi, along with JNU staff and students, are asking the Central Government to find the culprits and punish them under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC.)

Besides, on the 8th of January, Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry officials directed Jagadesh Kumar, the Vice Chancellor of JNU, to normalise the functioning of the University.

However, the students are not ready to get back to their routine until the masked men are arrested.

As of now, the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police took up the JNU case and is investigating the matter.

Stay tuned for further updates.
