E.S.L. Narasimhan, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh (AP) and Telangana, on the 10th of June, met Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, in Delhi.
Mr. Narasimhan, during the meeting, discussed about the issues and the current situation in both the Telugu States, AP and Telangana.
This is the first meeting of Mr. Narasimhana and Amit Shah after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed the Government of India (GoI.)
According to the sources, after concluding the meeting, Mr. Narasimhan addressed the media and said, he discussed about the issues related to the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh into the State of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh, which happened in 2014.
Mr. Narasimhan also briefed about the current relationship between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and stated, both the States are on good terms with one another.
After Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, he is maintaining a good relation with K. Chandrashekar Rao, the CM of Telangana.
During the discussion between Narasimhan and Shah, Narasimhan also informed the latter, the Government of AP took the decision of giving the AP Government buildings in Hyderabad to the Telangana Government.
After conducting the meeting with E.S.L. Narasimhan, Amit Shah is expected to be a part of the meeting scheduled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the Central Government secretaries, in Delhi.
PM Modi, accompanied by key Cabinet Ministers, is scheduled to chair a meeting on the 10th of June with the Central Government secretaries.
