The Government of India (GoI,) on the 17th of October, appointed 16 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to the two Telugu States.
The Department of Personnel and Training (All India Services Division) issued a notice regarding the appointment of the officers and informed S.K. Joshi, the Chief Secretary of Telangana, about the same.
For the past two years, Andhra Pradesh (AP) and Telangana were facing a shortage of IAS officers, due to which, the Government of India appointed the new officials. After the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, both the State Governments were demanding bureaucrats.
The seven IAS officers of the 2019 batch appointed to Telangana are K. Varun Reddy (Telangana,) Chithra Mishra (Telangana,) P. Hemanth Keshav (Maharashtra,) G. Agarwal (Madhya Pradesh,) Deepak Tiwari (Uttarakhand,) Prathia Singh (Uttarakhand) and Ankit (Uttar Pradesh.)
Some of the IAS officers appointed to Andhra Pradesh are Chahat Bajpai (Madhya Pradesh,) G. Surya Sai Praveen Chand (AP,) Bhawna (Haryana,) M. Naveen (AP,) V. Abhishek (Tamil Nadu,) Aparjita Singh (Rajasthan) and N. Jaikumaran.
The IAS officers will soon join their duties in Telangana And Andhra Pradesh.
