Diploma students in the state were aggravated when AP police authorities rejected Diploma certificates obtained in the state with the reason that they do not cover the Intermediate curriculum. On Friday, AP administrative tribunal passed a ruling that a diploma acquired at any Polytechnic college after completing SSC can now be considered equivalent to Intermediate.
The AP administrative tribunal ordered the AP Police authorities to allow diploma candidates to apply for police constable recruitment’s physical fitness tests, which are now ongoing.
This decision was passed by Justice Samudrala Govindarajulu and member Ratna Kishore. Many diploma students filed petitions all over the state requesting the tribunal to let them appear for the physical tests for Constable recruitments. The decision was challenged by the AP police, but the tribunal passed the decision in the favor of students.
