Highlights Of AP Cabinet Meeting

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) chaired a Cabinet meeting ahead of a special Assembly session. 

On the 20th of January, the A.P., Cabinet discussed the recommendations of the High Power Committee regarding the State capital issue. 

The Cabinet also approved a proposal to extend the tenancy limit of farmers who gave their lands to the previous Government for Amaravati’s development.  The limit was increased to fifteen years.

In addition, the Cabinet also agreed to establish an Amaravati Metropolitan Development Authority in place of the Capital Region Development Authority and set up a Pulivendula Urban Development Authority in Kadapa.  Besides, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) ministers also discussed decentralization and capital issues. 

After the conclusion of the hour long meeting, the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet approved all the recommendations of the Committee. 

After the Cabinet meeting, the Business Advisory Committee also conducted a meeting at the A.P., Assembly to decide the agenda and topics to be discussed during the special Assembly session. 

The Assembly session began at 11:00 A.M.
