Highlights Of KTR’s Visit To Delhi Regarding Wings India 2020

K.T. Rama Rao, the Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Minister of Telangana, on the 9th of January, met Union Civil Aviation Ministry officials in Delhi.  

Hardeep Singh Puri, the Civil Aviation Minister of India, officials of the Civil Aviation Ministry and KTR met to discuss the upcoming edition of Wings India, an aviation expo, which is scheduled to be held at Hyderabad’s Begumpet Airport.

Besides conducting a meeting with the Union Civil Aviation Ministry, KTR also met several aerospace and defence companies’ heads in Delhi.   He also attended the Wings India 2020 curtain raiser program.

Mr. Rao also met Vikram Rai, the Country Head of GE Aviation.  The Company came together with Tata and set up a world class Center of Excellence (COE) in Hyderabad, which focuses on aero engine components.  During the meeting, Vikram Rai and KTR not only discussed the current operations of GE Aviation in Telangana, but the future expansion plans of the aero industry.

Later, Pierre Dickeli, the Chief Executive Officer of Safran India, also met KTR and updated him about his Company’s expansion and growth in Telangana.

The meetings were concluded with K.T. Rama Rao’s inputs about the aviation industry and its growth in Telangana.  He said the State is working to grow in the aviation industry.

Acknowledging the aviation industry is one of the priorities of the Telangana Government, the Information Technology Minister said the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) partnered with several aerospace and defence organizations for training the necessary manpower.

The Country’s 2020 edition of Wings India is scheduled to begin from the 12th of March and continue till the 15th of March in Hyderabad, Telangana.
