Huzurnagar By Election - KCR To Conduct Public Rally

Marri Shashidhar Reddy, a senior leader of the Indian National Congress (INC,) on the 16th of October, alleged the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) of spending lakhs on campaigns.

Mr. Reddy said the K. Chandrashekar Rao led TRS is spending lakhs of rupees for KCR’s public meeting ahead of the by election in Huzurnagar.

K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is scheduled to conduct a public rally in Huzurnagar on the 17th of October.

Shashidhar Reddy filed a complaint regarding the same with the Election Commission of India (ECI) and Rajat Kumar, the Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana.

Reddy urged Rajat Kumar to check the amount being spent on the public meeting.  During a press meet, Reddy alleged KCR is scared of defeat in Huzurnagar, due to which, he is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the victory of the TRS in the constituency.

The TRS nominated S. Saidi Reddy as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) candidate in the Huzurnagar constituency against the opposition parties.

The major parties contesting the by election in Huzurnagar are the TRS, the INC, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)

The Huzurnagar by election is scheduled to be held on the 21st of October and the results will be announced on the 24th of October.
