Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) will expand his Cabinet, on the 7th of June.

After swearing in as the Chief Minister of AP, Jagan Mohan Reddy is busy finalising the list of ministers who will be a part of his Cabinet.

A day after the oath taking ceremony, which took place on the 30th of May, Mr. Reddy visited the AP Secretariat in Velagapudi, Amaravati to observe the administrative affairs.
He is expected to stay at the Secretariat till the 1st of June.

According to sources, 10 to 13 ministers will be a part of Jagan’s Cabinet. Out of the 13 ministers, 5 are said to be senior leaders of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) whereas 8 are new members.

After the expansion of the Government of AP with the newly inducted Cabinet Ministers, there will be Assembly sessions scheduled on the 11th and the 12th of June.

Mr. Reddy discussed the arrangements for the Assembly sessions with L.V. Subrahmanyam, the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh and other officials.

Mr. Subrahmanyam, who is supervising the arrangements for the Assembly sessions, asked the Assembly officers to make arrangements for the swearing in ceremony of the Cabinet ministers. The newly elected Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) are expected to take oath on the 11th or the 12th of June.
