Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena Party, on the 13th of February, visited the town of Yemmiganur in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh (A.P.)

During the one day visit, the JanaSena Chief interacted with the weavers of the town and promised them the support of the JanaSena Party.

After interacting with the weavers, Mr. Kalyan addressed a meeting.  He asked the people of Yemmiganur to vote for the right person in the upcoming local body elections in A.P.

Pawan Kalyan, who was accompanied by a few JanaSena leaders, cautioned the people against falling for gifts and other items offered by the opposition to get votes.  He also asked the people to be careful while voting and said, “Elect those who can help you.”

Pawan Kalyan said the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) promised to construct a textile park in the town, but there is no word from the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP regarding their promise.

Pawan Kalyan also told the weavers to raise their issues at a round table conference which Kalyan would hold to inform the State and the Central Government about the issues of the weavers in Yemmiganur.  The JanaSena Party would also form a Joint Action Committee (JAC) to resolve their issues.

This year, the JanaSena Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would contest the local body elections together against the YSRCP and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)

The official dates of the local body elections in Andhra Pradesh would be announced soon.
