JC Diwakar Reddy Booked For Abusive Remark On Police

The Andhra Pradesh police registered a case ha against former Member of Parliament (MP) and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader J.C. Diwakar Reddy.

The Police filed a case against J.C. Diwakar Reddy for obstructing police duties and abusing the policemen.

In the recent stone-throwing incident which took place between the TDP and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders on the 24th of December in Tadipatri town, J.C. Diwakar Reddy criticised the police and used abusive remarks.

Police have registered cases under Section 144 against MLA Peddareddy and his two sons, former MLA J.C.Prabhakar Reddy and his son in connection with the incident.

Prabhakar Reddy and Diwakar Reddy on the 4th of January, called for Deeksha at the Tahsildar’s office against registering Scheduled Caste and the Scheduled Tribe (ST) atrocity cases even if they have not lodged any complaint against Peddareddy and his sons.

The Police had earlier placed Prabhakar Reddy under house arrest at his residence and Diwakar Reddy at a farmhouse in Jutur village in Peddappur Mandal to avoid untoward incidents. The former MP was angry at the police who came to his house at this time and abused them. An altercation took place between the police and Diwakar Reddy. DSP Chaitanya said that a case has been registered against Diwakar Reddy under Sections 353 and 506 for allegedly insulting the police with obscene language.
