Jyothula Nehru Resigns As TDP State Vice President

Jyothula Nehru, the Vice President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) of Andhra Pradesh, resigned from his post.

The resignation dated on the 2nd of April, was submitted to Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the TDP. Several leaders of the TDP were surprised and shocked at the decision taken by Jyothula Nehru. The resignation as the State Vice President was to protest against Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s decision of boycotting MPTC and ZPTC elections. Recently, the TDP Supremo decided to boycott the scheduled Mandal Parishad and Zila Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC and ZPTC) elections.

The ZPTC and the MPTC elections are scheduled to be held on the 18th of April. The results would be announced on the 10th of April.

Although Mr. Jyothula Nehru resigned as the VP, he would continue as the TDP in charge of Jaggampeta constituency in East Godavari district. He also clarified that he would continue with the Party and is still a member of the TDP.

Stay tuned for further updates.
