Kakani Govardhan Reddy, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) open challenged Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)
On the 19th of April, the YSRCP MLA asked Chandrababu Naidu to visit any holy temple and confess, he was not indulged in sand corruption matters in Andhra Pradesh (A.P.)
Kakani Govardhan Reddy also alleged that the former A.P., Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu backstabbed his father in law and the late Chief Minister of A.P., and Telangana (as one State) N.T. Rama Rao for political power. The open challenge of confession at any holy temple of A.P., was related to a sand corruption incident of 2016, when the ruling Government was the TDP.
This is not the first time, Kakani Govardhan Reddy and TDP leaders indulged in fight of war. Recently on the 18th of April, Nara Lokesh, the General Secretary of the TDP alleged the YSRCP leader of bribing fishermen with an amount of Rs. 43 crores not to vote for the TDP. Mr. Nara Lokesh also said, the YSRCP leader is involved in fake casting of votes to support the YSRCP in the recently held Tirupati by elections.
Responding to the same, Kakani Govardhan Reddy challenged Nara Lokesh to prove his allegations, following which he would resign. He also condemned the false allegations made against him and demanded proof for the same.
Meanwhile, the results of the Tirupati by election would be announced on the 2nd of May.
