In Andhra Pradesh, Kia And Motors, a Korea based company, started production of cars from 12th of May.
The production started after the Andhra Pradesh Government announced a few relaxations amid the nation wide lockdown in some sectors in the State. The permission was given as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA.)
The relaxations were announced as a part of the third phase of the nation wide lockdown, which started from the 24th of March.
Kia And Motors, which was shut since the 24th of March, finally started operating from the 12th of May. The company in regard to the social distancing and lockdown guidelines, started work with a minimum of 1,000 employees instead of 4,500 employees. In addition to this, the Industry would produce only 30 cars instead of 50 cars.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh reported 33 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19, increasing the tally to 2,051 with 46 fatalities till the 12th of May.
