On the 17th of August, Wednesday, the Hyderabad police reported a tragic incident of a lightning strike, which killed four labourers and three were left injured.
In Andhra Pradesh’s Eluru region, four labourers identified as Kondababu (35), Dharmaraju (20), Raju (25) and Venu (18) were killed and three others were injured in a lightning strike. The four bodies were shifted to the Eluru Government Hospital for postmortem. Furthermore, the injured have been shifted to a hospital in Vijayawada and are being treated.
Getting into the details of the incident, it happened in Bogolu of Lingapalem Mandal on the night of the 16th of August, Tuesday. The laborers were removing trees in the region when a thunderbolt fell on the laborers.
The police has registered a case and an investigation has been launched.
