Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 8th of May met Rahul Gandhi, the President of the Indian National Congress (INC.)

The duo met for 30 minutes and discussed the Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slip and Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) issue.

Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) along with 21 opposition parties filed a petition to the Supreme Court (SC) for verification of the 50 % EVMs using VVPAT.

Naidu even wrote a letter to the ECI for the same, but got a refusal.

It is also said, Rahul Gandhi and Chandrababu Naidu discussed their next plan after the SC dismissed both the cases, one against the ECI and other of the 50 % VVPAT counting.

According to sources, Both were scheduled to meet, on the 7th of May, however, due to campaign commitments, Rahul Gandhi could not meet Naidu.

Naidu is on a three day visit to Delhi and West Bengal, he is scheduled to leave for West Bengal, on the 8th of May and campaign for Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal.

Chandrababu Naidu will be back to Andhra Pradesh, on the 9th of May.
