Lok Sabha Elections – J C Pavan Reddy Gets TDP Ticket

J.C. Pavan Reddy, on the 7th of March, was declared as the Member of Parliament (MP) candidate contesting the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha elections in the Anantapur constituency.

J.C. Pavan Reddy is the son of J.C. Diwakar Reddy, the current MP of the Anantapur constituency. Diwakar Reddy recently declared, he will soon quit active politics and his son would continue his legacy by contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the Anantapur constituency.

According to sources, it was speculated, Pavan Reddy will take over his father’s post after the latter’s retirement. The months of speculation finally came to an end after Pavan Reddy officially got the MP ticket to contest in the Anantapur constituency.

Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) made an announcement about giving a ticket to Pavan Reddy for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Naidu, on the 7th of March, conducted a review meeting, following which, the decision was taken. The TDP members of the Anantapur constituency were present at the meeting.
Anantapur has been ruled by the J.C. family for a long time. The family devoted themselves to the development of the constituency.

Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 25 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, scheduled between April and May 2019.

The major Parties contesting the Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha elections are the TDP, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and the JanaSena Party.
