Mudragada Pradmanabham Writes To AP CM

Mudragada Padmanabham, the leader of the Kapu community in Andhra Pradesh, on the 9th of July, wrote a letter to Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP.)

In the letter, Mudragada mentioned about the issues related to the Kapu community and urged the Chief Minister to resolve the pending matter of Kapu reservation.

Kapu reservation was promised by N. Chandrababu Naidu, the former Chief Minister of AP and his Telugu Desam Party. However, the matter was not resolved under his rule, due to which, Padmanabham wrote a letter to Y.S. Jagan.

Mudragada Padmanabham also mentioned, the Kapu community voted out Naidu and helped the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) come to power in the 2019 AP elections.

With the letter, Mudragada expressed his confidence in Jagan Mohan Reddy and hoped for justice to the Kapu community.

Approximately 20 % of the population in Andhra Pradesh consists of Kapus, who have been demanding the status of Other Backward Class (OBC) and reservation in government jobs and educational institutions.
