N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) will leave for a three day visit to Delhi and West Bengal.
In the evening of the 6th of May, Mr. Naidu will leave for Delhi, where he will conduct a meeting with the anti Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parties and discuss the Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slip petition.
Chandrababu Naidu and 21 opposition parties filed a petition against the 50 % verification of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) through VVPAT slip in the Supreme Court (SC.)
According to the petition, a majority of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) stopped functioning properly after the first phase of the elections ended.
The petition also claimed, the votes who cast their votes could see that after they voted, the slip was cast to another person.
After the review meeting, Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) on the 7th of May, will head to West Bengal.
In West Bengal, Mr. Naidu will stay for 2 days and support Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal and the President of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) by campaigning.
On the 9th of May, Mr. Naidu is scheduled to come back to Amravati, Andhra Pradesh in his private aircraft.
