Lakshmi Parvathi, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) senior leader and wife of the late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR,) paid floral tributes at NTR Ghat.
On the 18th of January, Ms. Lakshmi Parvathi paid tribute to the late NTR on his 25th death anniversary.
After paying tribute, Ms. Lakshmi Parvathi said, “NTR lives forever in the hearts of Telugu people and he is an inspiration to many.”
Highlighting the role of NTR in the Andhra Pradesh politics, Ms. Parvathi said, NTR is a great leader and every leader in the State is continuing their journey in politics with the blessings of NTR.
Ms. Parvathi said, following the path of NTR, Andhra Pradesh is having good governance.
Besides Lakshmi Parvathi, at the ceremony, NTR’s son Nandamuri Balakrishna was seen arriving and greeting people and paid tribute to his late father.
He paid tribute and remembered his father. Mr. Balakrishna said, “Today marks my father NTR’s vardhanti. Every year family members and loved ones turn up to pay their respects to him here. He was so larger than life; no one can match up to his greatness. He walked the talk and proved we can achieve whatever we set our mind to. His life is inspirational for any generation and his name lends me strength even today.”
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (when Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were one state,) passed away on the 18th of January 1996.
