Nara Lokesh Demands YSRCP MLAs Resignations

Nara Lokesh, the General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) demanded the resignations of the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam districts in Andhra Pradesh (A.P.)

On the 10th of January, Nara Lokesh criticised the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led  Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and asked it’s MLAs to resign and support the Amaravati agitation, if they want to be safe.

The comments came when Nara Lokesh along with  Kala Venkata Rao, the TDP President of West Godavari, Damacharla Janardhana Rao, TDP President of Prakasam and  Karanam Balarama Krishna Murthy along with former MP Sriram Malyadri, visited the home of  the recently deceased journalist of ETV Bharat, Veeragandham Sandeep. These leaders were present to console  the family on his death.

The leaders condemned his death and demanded an ex gratia of Rs. 25 lakhs with a permanent job to his family members.

Veeragangham Sandeep died during the ongoing protest against the 3 State capitals proposal by the State Government.  He died due to suffocation while protesting.

Farmers of Amaravati along with many opposition party leaders are protesting against the YSRCP’s capital shifting proposal.

YSRCP proposed three capitals for A.P., Visakhapatnam, Amaravati and Kurnool.

However, a final decision regarding the same is yet to be taken.

Stay tuned for further updates.
