Nellore is the first region, where robot services have been launched in Andhra Pradesh.  The services came with the help of the management of Helping Hands organisation in Nellore.

The organisation provided these robots to the treatment centre of COVID-19, a State run hospital of Nellore and the district officials with a demo on how to operate these robots.

Ram Gopal, the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer, Seshagiri Babu, the District Collector of Nellore and Dr. Vinod Kumar attended the demo class.  They appreciated the efforts of the Helping Hand organisation to fight the Coronavirus infection in the State.

According to sources, robots could deliver up to 40 kg of medicines and food at a time to infected people .

If everything goes well, the organisation is going to deliver more robots to increase the speed of work and decrease  human power.  It would also help to ensure safety of the health care workers and doctors treating the patients.
