The Nellore Police, on the 12th of August, registered a case against Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)

Dolendra Prasad, the editor of Zaminryot, late at night, on the 11th of August, filed a complaint against Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy with the Dargamitta Police Station.  Dolendra said Kotamreddy visited his house around 7:00 P.M., in an intoxicated condition and insulted him using abusive language, in front of guests.

However, Kotamreddy denied the allegations and said Dolendra himself reported the case in an unstable condition.  He further said Dolendra and his supporters attacked the MLA and his supporters.

On the other hand, journalists and supporters of Dolendra staged a protest against Kotamreddy, demanding an apology and Kotamreddy’s suspension.

N.Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) also took to Twitter and criticised the YSRCP Government.

The incident became a sensational issue in the village and raised a question about the administration of the YSRCP Government.

However, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) did not react to the incident yet.

Stay tuned for further updates.
