Mr. Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena Party, said that if he wants to fight the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) he would not seek the help of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this but would fight his own battle.
Mr. JanaSena Party presented assistance of Rs 1 lakh each to locals whose concrete structures had been removed during a road expansion work at Ippatam village. “I will demolish the YSRC government that demolished the Jana Sena activists’ houses in the village,” he vowed.
Pawan presented the aid to the villagers during a programme held at the JS state office in Mangalagiri. He interacted with locals and held a party review meeting. Pawan affirmed, “If I have to strike at the YSRCP, I will not do it after informing the Prime Minister. I will do it myself. This is my battle.”
He alleged that the YSRC government targeted the villagers for giving their land for holding the JS Formation Day public meeting on March 14. Condemning the demolitions, he asked, “Is YSRC a political party or a terrorist organisation?”
Responding to statements of YSRC leaders Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and others asking him to divulge what he had discussed with the Prime Minister during their meeting earlier this month, Pawan asked Ramakrishna Reddy, “How are you concerned? Come, I will tell you that in your ear.”
The actor clarified that since the 2014 elections, he had met the PM two or three times. Whenever we meet, we talk about the country’s security and the welfare of the common man. No conspiracies.”
Pawan severely objected to the branding of Jana Sena as a ‘Rowdy Sena’ by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. “Ours is a revolutionary sena serving the public.”
Challenging the YSRC to fight and win the 2024 assembly elections, Pawan said, “I will see how you win this time.” He ridiculed the claim of the ruling party that it will bag all the 175 assembly seats.
