Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena Party, on the 12th of November, met Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh (AP.) The meeting was held to discuss the ongoing sand crisis in AP. Pawan Kalyan urged Mr. Harichandan to intervene in the matter.
During the meeting, Pawan Kalyan briefed Biswa Bhusan Harichandan about the problems faced by the labourers due to a shortage of sand in the State.
The meeting was scheduled at Raj Bhavan, Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. Mr. Kalyan also wrote a letter to the AP Governor and asked him to direct the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) to resolve the matter.
Highlighting the situation, Pawan Kalyan said many construction workers in the State are losing their jobs and committing suicide due to the sand crisis.
The JanaSena President said the Party urged the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP to resolve the issue, but the YSRCP did not act upon it and the struggle of the constructors and workers is still on.
In his letter, Pawan Kalyan also mentioned his ‘Chalo Visakha’ march, which he recently carried out against the YSRCP Government to demand a solution to the sand shortage.
After his meeting with the AP Governor, Pawan Kalyan held a press meet in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh.
The press meet started at 4:00 P.M., and is underway.
