This year, AP CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy bagged the second position in being a social media trend setter.
In the past three months, from August to October, Y.S. Jagan was the trend setter after Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India.
Check Brand is a company that monitors online trends and releases a list for the same. The company keeps track of what hashtags are trending at any given time of the day.
The company releases a report for the period between August and October every year. Check Brands analyzes the online trends of the country’s top 95 politicians and 500 most influential people.
Among the list of 95 politicians, PM Narendra Modi is on top position, followed by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the President of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) on the second.
According to the analytics, nearly 2,171 trends were recorded under the name of Prime Minister Modi and 2,137 under Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The first report released in 2020 regarding the social trend read, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has aired on all social media trends (Twitter, Google search, wiki, YouTube, etc.). During the August-October quarter, 2171 trends followed Modi’s name. AP CM YS Jagan came next with 2137 trends.”
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi were next in line securing 3rd, 4th and 5th position respectively.
