Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, inaugurated the 14th edition of India’s largest aerospace and defence exhibition, Aero India. 

The event was inaugurated on the 13th of February, Monday in Karnataka’s Bengaluru. At the event, Mr. Narendra Modi bolstered the ‘Make in India’ campaign and gave a fresh impetus to the domestic aviation sector.  Addressing the people at the Aero India, Mr. Narendra Modi emphasized on the ‘Make in India’ initiative and said the event is a great opportunity for start ups and innovative businessmen to display their skills at the exhibition.  Approximately 700 businessmen across India would participate in the event along with people from 100 nations, across the globe.

Started on the 13th of February, the five day event would include aerial displays by aircraft and helicopters along with a large exhibition and trade fair for aerospace and defence companies.  The event would conclude on the 17th of February, Friday.

According to defence officials, exhibitors across the world had confirmed their participation at the show at Air Force Station Yelahanka, being positioned as a platform for ‘Make in India for the world.

At the 14th edition of the Aero India 2023, Mr. Narendra Modi said, the sky of Bengaluru is becoming a witness to the capability of ‘New India.’   It gives testimony that the new height is the truth of ‘New India.’  He further said, “Today, India is now touching new heights and even crossing set boundaries. Aero India is proof of the faith other nations have in India.  We must work to increase innovation in defence.”
Calling the Aero India show as a great opportunity for innovators, Mr. Narendra Modi said, “Today, it’s not just a show, but also India’s strength.”
