On the 19th of June, Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC) turned fifty years old.

Rahul Gandhi, who turned 50 today would not celebrate his birthday due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

Rahul Gandhi urged the INC cadres not to celebrate his birthday in the wake of ongoing clashes between India-China clash and the killing of 20 Indian Army personnel t and the increasing Covid-19 situation.

However, according to sources, K.C. Venugopal, the General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) asked to provide support and relief to the needy.

The INC suggested to organise community kitchens for the poor, distribution of food kits and other help to the poor during this pandemic crisis.

Mr. Venugopal also asked the district INC unit to observe two minutes of silence for soldiers who lost life in the India-China violent face off.

Meanwhile, the National Students’ Union of India, the student wing of the INC would organise blood donation camps across India on the occasion of Rahul Gandhi’s birthday.
