Sadineni Yamini, a member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) is expected to submit her resignation and quit the Party.
Speaking to the media, Ms. Yamini said she is not satisfied with the TDP and its activities, due to which she is thinking about resigning from the Party.
Another likely reason Sadineni is considering resigning from the Party could be the defeat of the TDP in the 2019 Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
Speculations about Ms. Yamini’s resignation came as a shock to TDP leaders as she was one of the strongest supporters of Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the TDP. She always stood by the Party and was a strong leader.
Ms. Yamini’s decision to quit the TDP could be a major drawback for the Party, which is trying to strengthen itself across Andhra Pradesh.
When asked about her plans, Sadineni Yamini said she did not finalise anything yet about joining another Party. If she plans anything, she would keep the media updated.
