Somarapu Satyanarayana, a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) resigned from the Party on the 9th of July.

Mr. Satyanarayan was also the former Chairman of the Telangana State Road Transportation Corporation (TSRTC.) The reason behind his resignation is not yet announced.

Somarapu Satyanarayana was away from politics since the Assembly elections of Telangana, which were held on the 7th of December 2018.

Mr. Satyanarayana lost the Telangana Assembly elections against V. Chander Rao, an independent candidate.

Later, Chander Rao joined the TRS and became a MLA of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

As of now, Mr. Satyanarayan is not going to join any other political party, but is expected to prepare for the Municipal elections and will contest for the Mayor’s position from Ramagundam city, Telangana.

However, an official announcement for the Municipal elections is yet to be made.
