Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) called for a protest in Amaravati on the 4th of July.

The protest was said to be against the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, demanding to develop Amaravati as the only capital of Andhra Pradesh.

On the 2nd of July, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, addressed a press conference and called for the protest.

During the press conference, the TDP President alleged the YSRCP leaders of harassing TDP leaders.

Mr. Naidu said, the YSRCP leaders cheated farmers who donated their lands to the government for construction of the capital in Amaravati.

The TDP chief urged the people to participate in the protest at their respective areas in 29 villages of Amaravati.

Chandrababu Naidu also urged people participating in the protest following the social distance in view of the COVID19 pandemic.

He said that the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy destroyed the development of the state and failed in investing in development projects in the past one year.

Mr. Naidu said  there were no resources for the state and on the other hand the Government failed to create wealth.

Explaining the benefits of the Amaravati as the State Capital, Mr. Naidu said, if Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would have developed pending roads and constructed buildings, jt would have got benefit in future.

The protest would be organised by the Amaravati Farmers Joint Action Committee (JAC) on the 4th of July.
