The Telugu Desam Party General Secretary Mr. Nara Lokesh criticised the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government.

On the 6th of September, the opposition TDP leader lashed out at the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy Government for reducing the number of beneficiaries for the pension scheme. Mr. Nara Lokesh took to Twitter and said, close to 2.3 lakh pension beneficiaries were deleted from the list this year. He said, “According to the pre-election guarantee, a pension of Rs. 3,000 has to be paid to people.”

Mr. Lokesh expressed disappointment with the YSRCP Government for being unfair to the beneficiaries, who were removed from the pension scheme list. He said people who were suffering from an illness or going to other places for any reason have been removed from the State Government’s pension scheme.

Besides Mr. Nara Lokesh, the TDP Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Gorantla Butchaiah also took a dig at the ruling Government. He said, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy Government made impossible promises during election campaigns and now is unable to fulfil them. In addition, they are doing injustice to beneficiaries of the pension scheme by removing their name from the list. In just one month, they deleted the names of 2.3 lakh people and misled people by saying that the YSRCP Government gave pensions to 65 lakh people.

However, the YSRCP MLA Mr. Kakani Govardhan Reddy countered the TDP allegations and denied it. Kakani Govardhan Reddy said, they are providing pensions to the eligible people and deleted the beneficiaries who were not eligible for the pension scheme.

The YSRCP leaders lashed out at the TDP for spreading rumours and trying to gain people’s attention against the ruling Government.
