The arrest of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Mr. Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao has created chaos in Amravati, Andhra Pradesh.

The TDP National President Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu along with a few leaders met the family members of Mr. Umamaheshwara Rao. During his meeting with the children and the wife of the TDP leader, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu extended solidarity and consoled them over the arrest.

It is to be noted, the TDP leader Mr. Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao was the first one to make allegations of illegal mining by the YSRCP Government at the Kondapalli Reserve Forest. In regard to this, he even visited the area without permission. On the 27th of July, he was arrested by the State Police for an alleged planning of attack on the YSRCP leaders in Krishna district of A.P., and visiting the forest without legal permission.

After the meeting, the TDP President alleged the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government of attacking the opposition leaders. He said, the ruling party led by the A.P., Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is targeting the TDP leaders after the TDP exposed the illegal mining being carried out at the Kondapalli Reserve Forest.

Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said the ruling Government is fearing to lose the 2024 Assembly elections and looting public money as much as possible. When exposed, the ruling YSRCP is targeting the TDP leaders using political tactics.

Raising his voice against the alleged illegal mining, the TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh also criticised the YSRCP Government. Mr. Nara Lokeash said, the alleged illegal mining activities of YSRCP leaders are unraveling one by one. He also said, the relatives of Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy are misusing his power and mining bauxite.

Taking to Twitter, Mr. Nara Lokesh said he will not rest until he exposes the alleged YSRCP mining mafia and ensures that the culprits go behind bars.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led Government is yet to respond to the allegations and the arrest of the TDP leader Mr. Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao. Currently Mr. Umamaheshwara Rao has been remanded to 14 days police custody.
